Privacy Policy

This policy covers how we use your personal information. We take your privacy seriously and will take all measures to protect your personal information.  Any personal information received will only be used to fill your order and your website experience.  We will not sell or redistribute your information to anyone.

Refund Policy

If your child was sick for more than 2 days with a medical certificate, within 30 days from the purchase date, we will fully refund the cost of your order.

24-Hour Cancellation Policy:

Planet Math's cancellation & late arrival phone number: 441-707-1412.

Parents, please store this number where it will be convenient for you. Tutorials are standing appointments each week and the tutors will be there ready to teach.

Reason for this policy: notifying us of your intention to cancel or reschedule 24 hours in advance gives us an opportunity to schedule someone else for that time slot. This is important because others may be on a waiting list or may also be looking for an opportunity to reschedule for a different time. As much advanced notice as possible is always appreciated.

IF YOU CANCEL YOUR APPOINTMENT WITH LESS THAN 24 HOURS NOTICE, YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR THE MISSED APPOINTMENT. IF YOU SIMPLY DO NOT SHOW UP FOR A SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT, YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR THE MISSED APPOINTMENT. ARRIVING LATE WITHOUT NOTIFICATION: THE TUTOR WILL WAIT FOR UP TO 15 MINUTES AFTER WHICH HE/SHE WILL ASSUME YOU ARE NOT COMING AND MAY LEAVE THE BUILDING. IN SUCH A CASE, YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR A MISSED APPOINTMENT.

If you are running late, please notify us and we will still have the session. As always EMERGENCY situations are inevitable and we kindly request that you provide us with details as soon as possible in the above-mentioned scenario. Situational cancellations will be taken into consideration on a case-by-case basis If you have any questions about this cancellation policy, you may contact us any time.

There will be no rollover credits for cancelled sessions. You will be granted 7 days to make up for your cancelled sessions - please make arrangements with Planet Math Administrator.

Electronics Policy

Our Electronics Policy is designed to:

  • Promote positive social interactions between Planeeters (campers)

  • Give your children a much-needed break from the world of technology

  • Allow your children to embrace the connections they make with other Planeteers, “unplugging” from their electronics

  • Ensure that your children are not exposed to age-inappropriate material

  • Help your child to remain focused on the activities designed for camp

Please discuss our electronics policy with your child to help us implement this at Planet Math Xplorers Xpedition Camps.

ELECTRONICS AND OUR PLANEETERS

As we are incorporating XtraMath, an online math fact fluency program, into our math lessons, Planeeters should bring their devices (Ipad, tablets or cell phones) to camp for 15 minutes of XtraMath session every day. Usage of devices is NOT ALLOWED at camp prior to 4:30 PM (when end-of-day pickup commences). Please note that parents will be responsible to set restrictions on your child’s devices on what they will have access to respectively. If you do not wish for your child to use their devices during our pickup slot (between 4:30 – 5:30 PM), please communicate this clearly to your child’s group counsellors. Planet Math is not liable for your child’s electronics during camp hours. Please be sure to label your child’s devices appropriately.

ITEMS THAT ARE NOT ALLOWED AT CAMP

1. Music Players

2. Cameras

3. Gameboys, PSPs or Nintendo DSs

ELECTRONICS AND OUR STAFF

Our camp staff will be briefed on the rules both prior to their arrival at camp and during our staff orientation. Our message to them is simple: usage of electronics should be limited to updating their respective camp group chats with updates and pictures.

CONCLUSION
We recommend that your child powers down, unplugs, and takes what we’re certain is a well-needed break from the world of electronics. Please be respectful of the usage and content limitations we have in place. If you have any questions or require further clarification, please contact us at planetmathbda@gmail.com

Thank you for your understanding and your cooperation.
